One step at a time. We started small in many categories and continue to build and edit as the categories grow. It takes hard work and being heavily involved, dedication and long hours. We have passion and love for what we do. It’s hardly work when you’re having fun!

PAM & DAN:
We believe real success is having a life of inner peace and joy. We surround ourselves with good people who have something to o er in areas that are not our strengths. We get to know our employees, identify their hidden talents and help them grow. We know that any success we might enjoy is due to God’s undeserved grace and mercy.

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR AUDIENCE WANTS AND NEEDS?
PAM:
We spend time visiting with customers on the sales  oor. We build relationships with our visitors and neighbors. We get input from our sales associates, who are the  rst ear to the public.
In addition, we spend countless hours looking
at sales reports to spot trends, and we build relationships with showrooms, manufacturers and fellow retailers to glean their insights as well.

WHAT ARE YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS TO OTHERS FOR GROWTH AND SUCCESS?
DAN:
Listen to others. Never become an arrogant know- it-all. It’s important to stay humble and teachable. We pursue humility because it promotes objectivity. With objectivity, we are more willing to learn from others, which helps us be successful.
